During RE this week we have been learning about Diwali. We found out all about Rama and Sita and created our own puppets to help us to retell the story, and how Hindu and Sikh people celebrate the festival of lights. The children made their own salt dough which they then used to create Diva lamps out of, and also made Diva lamps with clay, pinching the material into small pot shapes, using different tools to carve their designs into the pots, and finally painting them.
