Broomhill Infant School

October 22, 2021

We began the week with a walk to Nightingale Valley where the children explored using their senses of touch, smell, sight and hearing. They thought about animal habitats and which creatures might be living in the woodland area. The children went on to explore lots of different autumn and Halloween themed activities throughout the week and as they filled their jar of pompoms, which they get for working hard, trying their best and being kind and helpful, they chose to have a camp fire as their treat – they really enjoyed toasting marshmallows to make smore’s which were delicious! We finished the week with an end of term party where the children chose which games to play. The children have had a brilliant first term in Reception and we are super proud of them all!
