Seasonal Changes at Eastwood Farm

December 3, 2021

We went on a trip to Eastwood Farm to discover what seasonal changes had taken place. The children noticed that most of the trees were bare now. They collected leaves they found on the ground to take back to school for leaf rubbings; there were lots of colourful ones of different shapes and sizes from lots of different trees. The children noticed the weather is colder now and they even found some frost and frozen droplets of water. The children didn’t see any wildlife apart from a few birds, we talked about migration and that some of the birds had now flown to warmer climates. The children discussed why we would not be able to see hedgehogs due to them hibernating this time of year.
