The Tinkering Tuesday challenge was to construct a bridge that was strong enough for the goats and the troll to travel safely across. The children worked together in groups and thought about what materials they could use to construct the bridges. The children thought of some great ideas; Lego, wooden blocks and junk box modelling resources. They also needed to think how they would join the materials together. The children demonstrated great team work and everyone contributed to building the bridges. Every group encountered challenges as the  bridges they constructed were unsuccessful at first, but they demonstrated they were great engineers and tortoise learners as they all modified their designs until the bridges successfully carried the weight of the goats and trolls!
