Exciting visitors and a trip to the church

October 10, 2021

This week we have been celebrating Harvest. On Monday we had a special assembly with Reverend Sally from St. Peter’s Church. She talked to us about why people celebrate Harvest and asked us to think about all the people involved in giving food to us, such as fruit pickers, factory packers, lorry drivers, cashiers and our school cooks. We gave thanks to all those people and thought about others who may not have much food.

On Friday we went to deliver the food that our families had donated to the food bank in the church.
Thank you for your generous donations!

Also this week we were excited to have a visit from the Active Travel Team at Bristol City Council.
They came to school to deliver a Scooter Safety session which was so much fun.
The children had to think about reasons we should travel by scooter and how to scoot safely. They enjoyed travelling around an obstacle course which included a roundabout and a junction where they had to watch out for other scooters on the track!
