After School Clubs 2021-22 Term 4

In Term 4, the year 1 and 2 children enjoyed Dance club with Miss W and Mr Hawkins. Each week we started with a fun warm up, danced to a fun party dance and then learnt a new genre of dance. We learnt line dancing, salsa, hip hop, samba and reggae. The weather was kind and we were able to use the playground, accompanied by the travelling boom box.

Paige (Year 2) said “The Bollywood dance was my favourite. I liked all the moves. I loved the club!”

Miss Amie and Miss Sharon’s woodwork club allowed children to design a mini-beast that they could use the tools in the woodwork shed to create. The children learnt to use the vice and saw correctly, how to hammer nails and how to overcome problems when bringing their design to life.

Lorenzo (Year 1) said “It was hard to hammer the nails in but I kept trying and Miss Amie showed me how to hold the hammer better”.

The Reception children joined Miss Deb for Singing and Music club. They learnt some brilliant songs like ‘Hey Bruno’ from Encanto and used instruments to learn to follow a beat.

Roland (Reception) said “I really liked playing the drums. That was brilliant! ”
