We had an amazing trip this week to the SS Great Britain! The children were totally amazed by the whole day from the size of the ship to the way the staff emmersed them in the whole experience by taking them back in time to the day of the launch of the ship back in 1836! Not only did we get to explore the ship and museum all by ourselves. We also got to take part in a workshop and have our own private tour of the ship led by the amazing Tim! We even got to watch them carry out some practice rescues from the top of the masts. The children had so many questions to ask and loved sharing their knowledge from the research we had done earlier in the week. Not even the weather dampened their enthusiasm and I know they can’t wait to take their families back to share all that they found out!
