Maple Class have had such a great first term together. We have been so busy and had lots of opportunities to work as a team which has helped us to build new friendships!

We have been learning the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears and finding out facts about different types of bears around the world.

We have really enjoyed PE where we have been practising balancing on one leg and working on our core strength.

We have done some fantastic observational drawing of fruit and looked at the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo before trying to imitate his style. We also learned about the different fruits and vegetables you might find in the shops at this time of year, as part of our work for Harvest Festival. We enjoyed our trip to St Peter’s Church where we sang Harvest songs and took donations to the food bank.

In Science we have been exploring different materials and created posters to show all the things we could find that were made of materials such as metal, wood, plastic, fabric and glass.

We also had our first Tinkering Tuesday where we build dens for different bears.
