This week we started our final term together with our topic WOW Day!
This term we will be comparing countries to the UK through our work on the Tokyo Olympics.

We found out about the Olympic rings, learning that the colours represent the different colours that are found on the flags of countries that take part in the games and the amount (five) represent the continents. We made our own version to hang up in our classroom along with some Olympic torches.

We then found out about the different sports that are played as part of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and had a go at some of our own, including yoga, dance and athletics.

This term we will be finding out what animals and humans need in order to survive and we began our learning on this by thinking about the human body and what we already know.
The children worked in teams to draw round a body and label with as many different body parts as possible. They did so well and know lots already!
