Sensory Circuit

🌈 Sensory Circuit at Broomhill Infant School

Some of our children start their day with a Sensory Circuit – a short and fun routine that helps them get ready for learning.

This series of movement-based activities is specially designed to wake up the body and brain, helping children feel calm, focused and ready for the school day.

Each session includes three key parts:

  1. Alerting activities – to energise and stimulate (like jumping or bouncing).
  2. Organising activities – to support coordination, balance and focus (like balancing or climbing).
  3. Calming activities – to help children feel settled and ready to return to the classroom feeling grounded and secure.

Sensory Circuit is a lovely way to support children’s wellbeing and ensure they start the day feeling their best.
