This week we have been continuing to explore The Gruffalo through role play and writing a report about how he looks, where he lives and what he likes to eat. In Maths we have been focusing on ‘accurate counting’ and the children did a great job at ensuring they used 1 to 1 correspondence. We also learnt all about recycling for Global Recycling Day, finding out why it is important to recycle and then sorting out the recycling into the correct categories. We worked as a team to fill our class treat treasure chest so we were able to get out onto the big playground! We have also been busy constructing, in the sand pit, exploring Numicon in the Maths area and acting out in the vet role play. We ended the week with Funky Hair Friday for Comic Relief – what great hair styles we saw!
