Tinkering Tuesday and a Walk to Nightingale Woods

November 29, 2021

Tinkering Tuesday

On Tuesday we had our second Tinkering Tuesday of the year. This time we all had to create a bridge that had a moving part. The children worked hard on their bridges and used their prior knowledge of attachment techniques to build their bridges and make them strong. The children were all Bee ELLI learners and worked super well in a team! Once we had all built our bridges we tested them and evaluated them in our groups and spoke about what went well and what they would improve next time.

Our walk to Nightingale Woods

On Wednesday, we went for a walk to Nightingale Woods to look for different types of trees. We collected lots of leaves, explored the seasonal changes and compared different leaves by how they looked, their size and colour. We had so much fun exploring the woods, we went up super tall hills, played in the leaves, climbed trees, produced leaf rubbings and so much more!!
