Gympanzees Summer Pop Up

July 20, 2022

25th Jul – 19th Aug 2022SGS Pegasus School, Patchway, Bristol, BS32 4AJ

An inclusive Pop-Up activity centre for children and young people with disabilities, with multiple interactive rooms, and different session types to suit all abilities and disabilities.

Gympanzees sessions are for children and young people (0-25 years) with sensory, physical, learning difficulties, SEN and any mild to profound disability.

The Pop Up is split into sessions based on your child’s needs, from quieter to more active, lively sessions, so your child can experience the benefits of movement and play in an environment that’s right for them.

There will be a trampoline room, soft playroom, music room, indoor and outdoor playground, active and calm sensory room, and gym. There will also be a sociable café to meet and chat with others after the session.

Session Types

Gympanzees run four different sessions which meet the needs of children and young people with all different abilities and disabilities – ensuring their sessions are truly inclusive!

  1. Jungle sessions: For any child with any disability and their siblings and friends.
  2. Butterfly sessions: For more fragile and non-mobile children.
  3. Leopard sessions: Quieter sessions for those with autism or sensory needs.
  4. Gorilla Sessions: suitable for loud, physical individuals, who prefer their own space. Individuals who may can find the environment and others around them challenging.

You can find out more about the sessions and book to visit the Gympanzees Pop Up here: https://www.gympanzees.org/our-services/summerpopup

More on Gympanzees

Gympanzees are a Bristol-based charity that provides fun and fitness to children and young people with disabilities.

They are fundraising to open their first permanent facility in Bristol, a play, exercise, and social facility open seven days a week. The Gympanzees Pop Ups are smaller versions of the main centre. The charity has been delivering Pop Ups for a few years now as they refine their services and fundraise for their permanent home.
