Welcome to our November update. Our parent support phone line continues to be open, we have two new online courses starting this month and have a few more Community Playthings, electronics and stationery to offer.

Family Cooking Course

An after school family cooking course ‘You Are What You Eat’ is run by Adult Learning and will run for 6 weeks on a Wednesday (starting 4th Nov) or a Friday (starting 6th Nov) between 4-6pm.

Parents can book for either date by calling Becky or Liz on 0117 377 3189.

Some of the ingredients will be provided for free and support will be given to access the course online.

It’s for anyone with 5 or less GCSE’s or on a low income and over 19.

How Toddlers Learn To Talk

An 8 week course (30 mins per session) aimed for parents of 2 – 2.5 years old children. This course gives parents ideas and tips on how to boost children’s talking skills. Parents can book by contacting Richa 07880 465 063 or rachna.pandya@bristol-schools.uk. Start date to be confirmed.

Family Support Phone Line

Our Family Support team have a dedicated phone line to offer support on family issues, child development & education, information on parenting groups, advice around particular needs or if they are in crisis, as well as signposting advice on specialist services. If families need more than a phone call, they will be invited for a face to face visit with our team and where applicable another peer.
