Year 1 Trip to SS Great Britain

Dear Parents & Carers,

Year 1 will be going on an exciting educational trip to Brunel’s SS Great Britain on 15^th January 2026. We would like to ask for a donation of £6.00 towards this trip, this can be paid via ParentMail, or Cash in a named sealed envelope.

We will participate in workshops about Brunel and His Ship, as well as having guided tours of the Dock (Stern of the Ship).  We will also have some free time to explore the exhibitions on the site. We will be having lunch at SS Great Britain in an outside area.  Please ensure your children wears appropriate clothing and footwear for the trip as they will be spending time inside and outside as well.

This trip will take place on Thursday 15^th January 2026. We will be travelling by coach, leaving the school at 9:30am and leaving the SS Great Britain at 2:00pm. Please supply your child with a packed lunch on that day.  If you would like your child to have a Universal Free Packed Lunch (a sandwich, bottle of water, piece of fruit, cake and carrots sticks), please let us know by the end of the school day on Monday 5^th January 2026 as this will need to be ordered urgently.  Regrettably, we will not be able to order any lunches after this day.
